Social Work

Bachelor of Arts 6 or 7 Semesters German Dual (Work-Integrated)

About the Program

Start your dual Social Work (Soziale Arbeit) bachelor's degree at SRH University. Benefit from the perfect combination of theoretical knowledge gained at university and practical experience at your placement partner (Praxispartner). Discover countless professional opportunities in fields such as family counselling, school social services, and many more.

During the dual bachelor's programme you acquire pedagogical knowledge and develop a wide range of methods and counselling approaches. You gain expertise in related disciplines such as psychology, health services and sociology — knowledge that helps you understand the root causes of social problems.

A particular focus is placed on interdisciplinary collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams and networks. This requires a deep understanding of the work carried out as a social work professional as well as personal reflection. You will also examine the economic framework conditions of social work.

The knowledge you acquire at university is applied directly at your placement partner, so that your professional actions and the competencies you develop are continuously reflected upon and strengthened.
