Enrolling at a German university is one of the most important steps of your education journey. This process, known as enrollment (Immatrikulation), requires many documents and procedures — but with StudiStep you don't have to do anything in this complex process.

The enrollment process steps

Admission (Acceptance Letter)
The admission notice (Zulassungsbescheid) is received by the StudiStep team. Appointments, deadlines and document requirements are checked; you are informed of all important details.
Document Preparation
All documents are collected: diploma, transcript, passport copy, language certificate. StudiStep handles translation, notary and apostille; format and quality are adapted to university standards.
Online Enrollment
An account is created in the university system. Forms are filled out completely, student details entered correctly and all documents uploaded.
Semester Fee / Charges
StudiStep covers all payments for 3 years. Payment deadlines are monitored, transfers carried out correctly and payment receipts archived.
Sending the Documents
The shipping method is chosen (courier, post, in person). The documents are sent complete, tracking is handled and arrival at the university confirmed.
Enrollment & Confirmation
The university confirms the enrollment and the Matrikelnummer is created. StudiStep receives the official documents and completes the student ID for you.

The Zulassungsbescheid from the university — original or certified copy (we obtain it).
High School Diploma
Certified translation and apostille — translation into German or English required.
Language Certificate
TestDaF, DSH or IELTS — the required level depends on the program.
