Midwifery

Bachelor of Science 8 Semesters German Dual / Work-Integrated

About the Program

Make the miracle of birth your profession and accompany one of the most beautiful experiences: helping a person enter the world and being there live at the very moment a new life begins.

Today, anyone who is pregnant and looking for a midwife often receives a rejection even at the first point of contact: waiting lists are long and the number of midwives in Germany is low. As a result, adequate and comprehensive care for pregnant women and new mothers in Germany has no longer been possible for several years.

Yet high-quality midwifery care is of great importance in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This requires qualified midwives who support women during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

Are you already a midwife and looking to advance professionally? Thanks to your existing midwifery training, we recognise selected course content on your path to a bachelor's degree (B.Sc.).

What You Will Learn

  • Combination of theory and practice through the dual education model
  • Option to study while working (Berufsbegleitend)
  • Credit recognition for existing midwifery training (Aufbaustudium)
  • Admission without NC (no Numerus Clausus)
  • High demand — secure career prospects

There is high demand in the field of midwifery. Excellent career opportunities await qualified midwives.
