About the Program
Do you want to share your knowledge in health and nursing? As an academically trained nursing educator, you can help shape the necessary changes in the healthcare system — because good nursing care requires good education.
Are you already a teacher in the nursing profession, or do you aspire to become one? The Vocational Education Bachelor's program provides ideal preparation for teaching at vocational schools as well as for continuing education and professional development. You will learn to reflect on your practical experience and develop your teaching skills to share your knowledge effectively.
We will also support you in updating your existing knowledge, overcoming your weaknesses, and building on your strengths. Through our student-centred teaching and learning methods, we develop your ability to evaluate and apply academic knowledge in practice.
With the Bachelor's degree you will fulfil the nationwide requirements of Section 9(1)(2) of the PflBG as well as the Bavarian requirements for practical instruction at nursing vocational schools: 20 ECTS credits in vocational sciences in nursing, 40 ECTS credits in vocational pedagogy, a 12-week school internship, and a teaching demonstration.
