Applied Mechatronic Systems
About the Program
The Applied Mechatronic Systems bachelor's program makes you an expert in mechatronics — the intersection of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. Deepen your technical knowledge, design solutions for electromechanical systems, and develop your soft skills.
Throughout the program you gain an in-depth understanding of the disciplines that make up mechatronics: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. You refresh your knowledge of mathematics, physics and statistics while strengthening your programming skills and intercultural communication abilities.
During your studies you learn to design complete solutions for electromechanical systems and to integrate control systems with the help of microcontrollers. You also get the opportunity to explore exciting future fields such as Automotive Mechatronics, Robotics, Machine Learning and Smart Manufacturing.
As a Bachelor of Engineering student you learn agile methods, work in laboratories and collaborate with companies on practical projects. In addition, you earn the "Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certificate Program (SMSCP)" certification at Level 1–2. Fully English-taught, the program opens doors to an international career.
What You Will Learn
- 100% English-taught — 3 campus options (Berlin, Heidelberg, Leipzig)
- Siemens SMSCP certificate included — Level 1–2
- Hands-on training focused on Robotics and Smart Manufacturing
- Admission without NC — accredited program
- Company projects — laboratory work
- High demand for automation engineers — excellent career prospects
Become the engineer of Industry 4.0. Specialise at the convergence of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and software, and design the intelligent systems of the future.
