Photography & Film
About the Program
Whether photography or video production — professionals who tell stories and evoke emotions are needed for the concept and production of compelling media content. Photography and film converge across all media. As a photographer today you must also bring innovative video skills, and as a filmmaker you must be able to shoot creatively with a camera.
The Photography & Film (B.A.) bachelor's program combines both fields and prepares you optimally for your professional future. The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a state-recognized private university of applied sciences. Students must therefore meet at least the same official admission requirements as those needed for comparable programs at public universities.
The formal requirement for admission to a bachelor's program at FHM is a higher education entrance qualification or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification. Professionals holding relevant vocational qualifications may also begin the program.
Possible admission pathways: Higher education authorization certificate (general university entrance qualification, etc.), university entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification, master craftsman's certificate, state-certified technicians, master craftsman candidates with a university of applied sciences entrance qualification, business administrators, Business Administration economists (IHK), graduates of two-year vocational schools, expert advisors and trade specialists, state-certified business economists, vocational qualification (secondary school diploma + at least 2 years of training + at least 3 years of related professional experience).
