Industrial Engineering

B.Eng. 7 Semesters German Full-Time

About the Program

Engineers and economists don't always speak the same language. Our Industrial Engineering Bachelor's program prepares you optimally for this important interface function between economics and technology.

Imagine you want to develop a product and market it profitably. Everything you need for that, you'll learn here — in the Industrial Engineering Bachelor's program!

You'll learn how natural forces can act on a product (engineering mechanics), why it might fail (materials technology), what manufacturing techniques exist to reproduce it (production engineering), and what all of this has to do with electrical engineering — laying the foundations of the engineering sciences.

Then we move on to business sciences. The focus is on innovation management, patent research, and the fundamentals of business administration. In addition, you'll gain competencies in automation technology, technical drawing, programming, quality management, and production.

You'll apply all of this directly in practice in the Engineering Design Project — from the business plan to production planning for your virtual start-up. After your internship, the program covers corporate development, followed by an elective course to deepen your knowledge.

What You Will Learn

  • Innovation management and patent research
  • Automation technology and technical drawing
  • Programming and quality management
  • Practical projects in corporate strategy and development

You are both a specialist and a versatile professional — highly sought after in projects and companies worldwide. As the interface between technology and economics, you speak both languages and mediate between different ways of thinking.
